A Graduation Session at Tuomarinkylä Manor, Helsinki
There are moments that deserve to be celebrated and remembered. The day the white graduation cap is placed on your head for the first time, when one chapter of life comes to a close and something new, still unknown, is just about to begin.
The park of Tuomarinkylä Manor was at its most beautiful on the day of the session. The lilacs were in full bloom, the old trees cast their soft shade, and in the middle of all that green, a yellow dress glowed like sunshine itself. The white cap, a peony in hand, and that smile — relief, pride and a touch of wistfulness all at once.
Because that is what graduating is. Years of work, early mornings and long evenings, and then suddenly it is all behind you, and the whole world opens up ahead. A summer park, blooming lilacs and a young person on the threshold of her life — it is hard to imagine a more beautiful combination.
A graduation session is a gift that stays. Years from now, you can return to these photographs, to this summer day, to this feeling of everything still being ahead and possible.
