Wedding Portraits in Helsinki City Centre — Johanneksen kirkko, Huvilakatu and Eiranpuisto
Wedding Photography in Helsinki, Finland | Studio Happy Moment
Helsinki city centre is made for wedding portraits. Historic buildings, pastel-coloured facades, greenery and the quiet energy of the city all in one place. For this couple’s elegant style, Helsinki was the perfect backdrop, and I had the honour of being their wedding photographer on this beautiful summer day.
Johanneksen kirkko
The session began on the steps of Johanneksen kirkko, where the dark granite and Gothic details created a striking contrast against the bride’s white wedding gown. The church’s massive wooden doors and stone staircase are one of Helsinki’s most iconic portrait locations, and it’s easy to see why.
Huvilakatu. Pastels and Romance
The soft peach walls and green windows of Huvilakatu are something entirely unique in Helsinki. This corner of Eira feels like a scene from a European film. The couple’s outfits, a white off-shoulder gown and a classic black suit, suited the surroundings perfectly. Some of the session’s best moments were the unplanned ones: spontaneous laughter, dancing in the street, and champagne spraying in the air. Those are the moments you never stage.
Eiranpuisto. Green and Intimate
Eiranpuisto offered a peaceful contrast to the city’s stone surfaces. Under the trees we captured the most intimate and romantic frames of the day: close-ups, quiet glances, moments that speak for themselves.
