How do I book a session and is there a booking fee? 

To book a session, you can message us via the website form, WhatsApp, or Instagram. All photography sessions require a booking fee to secure the date. The booking fee is non-refundable if the session is cancelled by the client, but the session date can be rescheduled up to 2 times within one year.

Do you only work in Helsinki or do you travel to other cities? 

We are based in Helsinki, Finland, and we photograph sessions across Finland and Europe. Travel sessions are always planned individually.  

When should I book my photoshoot?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and popular seasons like summer.  

How long does a photoshoot take?

The duration depends on the type of session. Family sessions usually take about 1 hour, while newborn sessions may take 2–3 hours.  

Photo delivery

After the photoshoot, you will receive the final invoice via email. Photos are delivered once the invoice has been paid. 

Do we receive the RAW files or unedited photos? 

We only deliver finished, carefully processed images in JPEG format. Our unique style, color palette, and use of light (the soft, bright, and natural look you see in our portfolio) are an integral part of our work and the Studio Happy Moment brand. RAW files are unfinished materials, and our goal is to provide you with a perfect, finished product that will bring you joy for decades.

Newborn Photography 

When should a newborn session be done?  

Newborn sessions are usually held when the baby is under 14 days old. 

How long does the session take?  

The session typically lasts 2–3 hours. The earlier the session takes place, the smoother and more relaxed it usually goes. 

What if the baby doesn’t sleep?

That’s completely normal. We always proceed on the baby’s terms, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and posing.

Is the session safe for my baby?

Yes. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. The session is done gently and at the baby’s pace.  

Shal I buy own photoprops?

No. We have a wide range of hats, backdrops, headbands, and small toys. If you have your own props or family heirlooms, we are happy to incorporate them. 

Maternity Photography 

When is the best time for a maternity photoshoot?  

The best time for a maternity session is around weeks 28–30 of the pregnancy. The exact timing depends on the size of the bump, but a smaller belly often looks more delicate in photos. 

Can my partner or children join the session?

Yes, of course. Maternity sessions can include your partner and children.  

What should I wear?

Neutral tones and soft fabrics work best. I’m happy to help you choose outfits before the session.  

How much does a photoshoot cost?
Our maternity sessions typically range from €120 to €690, depending on the selected package.  

Family & Children Photography  

Children grow up so fast, but every stage is beautiful and worth capturing. These childhood days are wonderful to revisit through photographs. 

A family or child session can be held at any time. However, it’s most important that the child is energetic—for example, early in the morning or during sunset. You can bring your child’s favorite toys, books, small snacks (like corn puffs or raisins), and water. 

Are pets allowed?  

Pets are also very welcome! 

What should we wear?

Coordinated outfits in neutral tones work best. I can guide you with styling if needed.

How much does a photoshoot cost?

Our family sessions typically range from €190 to €670, depending on the selected package.

Wedding Photography 

Our wedding packages include both black-and-white and color images. Photos are always delivered in digital format (on a wooden USB drive in a wooden box), allowing you to order thank-you cards, prints, wall art, or photo books as you wish. When booking a wedding, a 300 € booking fee is required, which is deducted from the final total. The final invoice is sent 3 weeks before the wedding. The processing time for wedding photos is 1–1.5 months. A guest web-gallery is ready within one week after the wedding and includes 30 portrait images selected by the photographer.

How much does wedding photography cost?

Wedding photography coverage usually starts from €550 and can go up to €3400, depending on the number of hours and location.  

Do you sell gift certificates? 

Yes! They can be easily purchased online.
