How do I book a session and is there a booking fee? 

To book a session, you can message us via the website form, WhatsApp, or Instagram. All photography sessions require a booking fee to secure the date. The booking fee is non-refundable if the session is cancelled by the client, but the session date can be rescheduled up to 2 times within one year.

Do you only work in Helsinki or do you travel to other cities? 

Our primary service area is the Helsinki metropolitan area (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa), and travel expenses within this area are generally included in our packages. However, we love to travel! We are happy to come to you in Porvoo, Tampere, Turku, or anywhere else in Finland. We also photograph weddings abroad, including Spain, Italy, France, and Norway.

Photo delivery and copyrights 

After the photoshoot, you will receive the final invoice via email. Photos are delivered once the invoice has been paid. Within one week of the session, you will receive a link and password to view and select your photos. The online gallery is open for viewing and selection for one month. If the client does not make the selection within this month, the photographer will choose the images for post-processing on the client’s behalf. The photos include the right to print and reproduce them indefinitely for non-commercial use. Fully edited photos can be shared on social media. Basic-edited photos (preview quality) are for personal use only and may not be shared on social media. The photographer’s name must always be mentioned as required by copyright law. Editing, cropping, or using filters on the photos is prohibited without the photographer’s permission. The photographer retains the copyright and publishing rights to the images.

Do we receive the RAW files or unedited photos? 

We only deliver finished, carefully processed images in JPEG format. Our unique style, color palette, and use of light (the soft, bright, and natural look you see in our portfolio) are an integral part of our work and the Studio Happy Moment brand. RAW files are unfinished materials, and our goal is to provide you with a perfect, finished product that will bring you joy for decades.

Our Services

Newborn Photography 

Newborn sessions are usually held when the baby is under 14 days old. The session typically lasts 2–3 hours. The earlier the session takes place, the smoother and more relaxed it usually goes. We always proceed on the baby’s terms, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and posing. Most of my photos feature sleeping babies. Every little person is an individual, and we strive to capture photos that reflect your baby’s unique personality. We are happy to hear your wishes and suggestions! Please let us know in advance about any props you’d like to use or your favorite colors (e.g., matching your home decor). We have a wide range of hats, backdrops, headbands, and small toys. Maternity Photography 

The best time for a maternity session is around weeks 28–30 of the pregnancy. The exact timing depends on the size of the bump, but a smaller belly often looks more delicate in photos. We recommend not leaving the shoot to the very final weeks to avoid potential swelling. It is important to be well-rested before the shoot. Child & Family Photography 

Children grow up so fast, but every stage is beautiful and worth capturing. These childhood days are wonderful to revisit through photographs. A family or child session can be held at any time. However, it’s most important that the child is energetic—for example, early in the morning or during sunset. You can bring your child’s favorite toys, books, small snacks (like corn puffs or raisins), and water. Pets are also very welcome! [Read our preparation tips here]. Wedding Photography 

Our wedding packages include both black-and-white and color images. Photos are always delivered in digital format (on a wooden USB drive in a wooden box), allowing you to order thank-you cards, prints, wall art, or photo books as you wish. When booking a wedding, a 300 € booking fee is required, which is deducted from the final total. The final invoice is sent 3 weeks before the wedding. The processing time for wedding photos is 1–1.5 months. A guest web-gallery is ready within one week after the wedding and includes 30 portrait images selected by the photographer.
