The perfect destination wedding doesn’t end after the reception. For our amazing couple, the celebrations continued the following day with a relaxed ”after-wedding” BBQ party at the Domaine. It was the perfect way to unwind, enjoy delicious food, and spend quality time with their guests before saying their final goodbyes.
Custom Outfits and Cultural Elegance
For this second day of celebrations, the bride and groom prepared a wonderful surprise. They wore gorgeous, custom-made matching suits tailored from traditional Burkina Faso woven fabric. The vibrant patterns and elegant cuts looked incredibly stylish against the lush green backdrop of the French estate.
Good Food, Live Music, and a Chill Vibe
The atmosphere was completely laid-back and joyous. A live band played music outdoors, and the catering team grilled an amazing BBQ feast over the open fire—utilizing the very same coals they had prepared the night before! Guests enjoyed grilled skewers, fresh salads, and relaxed conversations on the sunny lawn.
Perfect Timing and a Dramatic Weather Twist
As photographers, we are always watching the light and the sky, and this couple had the most unbelievable luck. The BBQ was planned as a crisp, 3-hour daytime event. Literally minutes after the party wrapped up, the weather changed completely. The bright sky rapidly turned gray, and a historic storm hit the Paris region, bringing torrential rain and marble-sized hail! We managed to capture a few moody, cinematic portraits of the couple in their traditional outfits just as the sky darkened and the wind picked up, right before the downpour started. Talk about perfect wedding timing!
